Before you kill me, can I just say that you've made a gorgeous theme and I have been reading through questions related to the dreaded background change.
I've found the template you meant, but each time I replace the picture host URL it does not 'repeat' or cover the entire background as I would like. Have I identified the wrong URL, or should I get a larger picture?
Grateful for your patience, Andy - and I promise this is my last question :P

Read this. It should repeat by default, then you can set either no-repeat, repeat-x or repeat-y. But if it isn’t repeating for some reason try simply adding repeat like below:
body {background: url(http://a3.twimg.com/profile_background_images/135106251/repeat.png) repeat;}
